UConn Health’s Disparities Institute had a big mission: reduce barriers to care and improve health literacy for underserved communities across Connecticut. They needed more than just materials and messaging. They needed a marketing partner who could listen closely, collaborate deeply, and build long-term trust with the people they serve.
That’s where FourteenG stepped in.
UConn Health was working to address widespread health disparities affecting low-income and BIPOC communities. They aimed to position themselves as a trusted leader in health equity. But making real progress required more than good intentions. They needed a strategy that simplified complex health information and connected authentically with the people who needed it most.
FourteenG didn’t come in to hand over a plan and walk away. We embedded ourselves in the work, joined internal and community meetings, and acted as a true extension of their team. Our goal was to co-create a campaign that resonated from the ground up.
Together, we launched the Equal Coverage to Care Coalition (EC2C) with a clear purpose: make health information accessible, inclusive, and empowering for everyone in Connecticut.
